“More than 3 thousand people have already been employed, cotton cultivation and processing have been established. In 2018 alone, more than 20 thousand tons of raw materials were procured, as a result of which processing an income of $ 61.5 million was obtained,” the statement said.
Almost $ 75 million was invested in the creation of the enterprise. This means that it almost paid for itself in the first year of operation.
“This is what clusters should be like. A sense of interest, new thinking will necessarily give a result. When the economy works smoothly, it is able to pull social spheres along with it. Clusters are profitable, provide people with jobs and income. This is our highest goal.” noted Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
In general, this cluster includes eight projects covering the harvesting, processing of cotton and the production of finished products. The construction of a spinning and textile factories, fabric dyeing and ready-to-wear facilities continues.
It is also planned to put into operation a fat and oil plant, a livestock complex and an enterprise for the production of feed.
